Me too! Let’s check in ON how we’re keeping up.
If your New Year’s resolution was to get healthier, but don’t know where to start yet, or feeling stuck already, i’ll help you to get on track with a little check-in for your progress and plans.
It all comes down to your lifestyle – several areas of your life play a role and contribute to your overall health. It’s really not thad hard to get hold of, let’s go through the major factors to pay attention right now.
SLEEP WELL?
Getting enough sleep is essential for helping you maintain optimal health and well-being. When it comes to your health, sleep is as vital as regular exercise and eating a balanced diet. A good nights sleep provides you with productivity and concentration, greater athletic performance, energy, new ideas, better recovery and clear thinking.
EATING YOUR GREENS?
Food IS medicine! Food is not just energy, food is information which connects your body, mind, gut, and brain. Next time you go shopping, fill your basket with fresh veggies, whole grains, legumes, berries, nuts, and seeds!
Plan your meals ahead, limit sugar, dairy, refined grains, and red meat. Remember, adding up is way easier than cutting down on something. So go ahead, add as many (green) vegetables as you possibly can! You’ll soon realise, there is no need for a dessert or coffee after lunch 🙂
MOVING YOUR BODY?
Walk 10 000 steps, have HIIT in the morning, go for a jog after work, nature activities on weekends – anything that gets you move that gorgeous hard working body of yours!
Exercise increases your well-being, improves your shape, develops you physically, gives energy to do other things, and helps you overcome mental difficulties. Start from exercising at least 30 minutes a day 2-3 times a week. In no time you’ll be wanting to to more since exercise changes the perception of how you see and feel yourself!
STRESS A LOT?
Let’s clear this – stress is not bad. Chronic stress is real bad. Do not let that sneak into your life! How to deal with chronic stress? Start by recognising it.
Find balance between work and leisure hours, breath deep, exercise, spend time in nature, have meaningful conversations with friends, have fun listening to music or watching movies, play board games, cook a yummie meal, take self-care days – basically add up on those activities that make you feel good!
You can do it!
